Devulcanised rubber modifiers
for roads
CycleBond™ is a family of devulcanised rubber–based modifiers for asphalt, chip seal and emulsions. It’s designed to fit established PMB workflows and construction methods, so contractors can introduce circular rubber content without redesigning plant.

Processed rubber from feedstockincluding end of life tyres will improve asphalt performance.
A tyre is designed to last a long time under all weather conditions and heavy loads, Cyclebond feedstock contains 40 polymers, 8 types of carbon black and 40 chemical additives making Cyclebond an ideal material for use in asphalt modification
When blended with bitumen Cyclebond is has comparable performance properties to a SBS Polymer, with the additional benefits of being derived from materials that lower cost and lower CO2e.

Binder stretches and recovers, reducing cracking

Holds shape under heavy traffic and high temperatures

Delays cracking under repeated loading

Resists both heat deformation and cold cracking

Improved cohesion and chip retention

Better resistance to stripping and water ingress

Reduced oxidation with carbon black acts as an antioxidant

Widely used on motorways, intersections, and airports
Cyclebond can either be pre-blended into bitumen or added directly into the asphalt plant when mixing the binder with the heated aggregates.
Cyclebond is another tangible way of achieving sustainability when manufacturing asphalt, complementing warm mix and RAP which are becoming more prevalent across the industry.

The bitumen in DG can be substituted with Cyclebond pre-blended between 13-15% by mass of bitumen. The binder content of the mix will need to be increased slightly to accommodate for the increase in mix stiffness to achieve good compaction.

The use of Cyclebond in OGPA can lead to much higher binder film thicknesses being achieved compared with polymer modified bitumen due to the increased viscosity of the binder. This results in quieter, more durable and much longer lasting OGPA wearing courses.

Active in China and New Zealand, with supply and licensing partnerships opening in additional regions. Australia planned for 2027.
